RSS Bot - News Notifier App Reviews
RSS Bot proved to be the perfect news reader for me. It seats quietly on the menu bar, switching to orange when a new post is available. What was key to me was the fact that, contrary to other news readers I had to discard, sync works like a charm. Highly recommended!

Very nice
O love the sound library it comes with. It would be nice to be able to change the frequency with which it checks for feeds.
love the app!
the best feed reader for the notification center but please add a feature to set the check intervall for all/individual feeds!
… there should be an option to keep articles that where read already (maybe in a folder or greyed-out). Also i’d like to set the update intervall. But all in all its a 4 star app :)
Not bad but..
It just kept crshing…hope this will be fix soon!
App wise, it is perfect, however, when it sit next to the wifi logo, its like a twin except one is felt on the ground. But it will stands out when it change to orange. and everything is fine!
Does exactly what I need
Happy with the product, works in the background and grabs the feeds I need, exactly what I needed in an RSS reader. Thanks
Now it is really sluggish and pretty much unusable. Hope this issue gets fixed in the next release and that would make it a 5 star app. Can’t seem to find any support on the internet to fix it either. Little to no documentation
I’ve lost all my feeds. Not able to run it after a while.
I was running it and was happy. Later it started to fail opening. So I was unable to recover, I lost all my feeds and really unhappy with that.
best rss bot
The best rss bot for me. Quicker than other.
wonderfull app
This app is awsome but sometimes crashes on Maveriks. Five star when they fix it.
Fantastic!
This app is super awesome, I needed it!
It simply does what it is supposed to. Nothing less, nothing more. I know it had problems with stability but at the time of writing they seem resolved.
The RSS bot does exaxctly what it says on the label. However it has no ‘extras’ (integrated viewers and such), therefore i rate it as 4 stars and not more.
Keeps me up to date!!
Great app where I keep up with my interests…use it everyday!!
I’ve used this app for a while now and seen it improve. It has a very simplisitc function, other RSS readers seem to overcomplicate things. After .opml export option was added, RSS Bot became the ideal RSS reader for me. Thank you!
Like the HEADLINES ON THE NEWSPAPER! (were…) Tells you whats HOT!
It certainly does what it is meant to. I noticed 2 jobs today I may want to apply for that may have been un-noticed for days.

WOW! Thank you for allerting me to this.Everyone should get it. Stephanie Mason
I went ahead and added a couple of feeds. Nothing shows up. I added more. Nothing. I tried adding keywords to the filter - nothing. Lets call this a Fail. So… aside from this glaring issue; immediately visible bugs are: 1. The "Pause Updates" menu item doesnt uncheck if you click the "Update" menu item. (Are we updating? Are we paused?) 2. Rss feed URL box only accepts HTTP:// and refuses the (still) common FEED:// (Probably refuses secure http as well. tsk) 3. When installed, app should immediately display rss feed for URLs pushed to it by Safari plugins such as "RSS Menu". Doesnt… Requires you to add the URL (which sometimes leads to bug #2 above). 4. Ultimately, no method resulted in viewing of an rss feed. 5. Is "with Readability" implying an app? or intended to describe the rendering of the xml as "with more readable xml" ? (if its the app, it should probably say "in Readability"). Ultimately, it feels like it was hacked together over the weekend.
